Art has played an important part in my life since an early age, having been encouraged to draw and paint by my Mother, a landscape artist. On leaving school I studied Fashion and Clothing Design at the Wellington Polytechnic (now Massey University), however my desire to travel and live abroad sent this career in other directions. My travels ignited my passion and awareness of my surroundings but it wasn't until my return to New Zealand that I really started experimenting with my creative pursuits. When my children started school I enrolled part time at the Learning Connexion in Island Bay, Wellington where I enjoyed experimenting with a range of mediums - my skills and confidence grew from there.
I live in the seaside suburb of Seatoun in Wellington, New Zealand.
